Well this week we will be diving in a lot more because truth be told, LinkedIn isnāt just a CV rather, itās your story. And stories are far more powerful than bullet points.
Here is a practical example about how telling a story is more powerful than listing out your milestones. If your headline only says: āFinal Year BCom Studentā then you are not describing yourself to the best of your abilities. In order to improve this as yourself the following questions. What problems can you solve? What industries excite you? And what skills are you building? With those considerations added to your original headline you would get something like this, āAspiring Financial Analyst | Passionate About Data-Driven Decision Making | Final-Year BCom Studentā. See the difference? It shows direction, not just status.
On to the next consideration, your "Aboutā section. Think of this portion as your voice. This is where most people freeze. But it doesnāt have to be complicated. A simple step by step formula that can be followed starts by asking yourself, who you are, what youāre building or learning, what interests you and what youāre looking for. This section requires you to answer those questions. You donāt need perfect grammar or corporate buzzwords.
You just need clarity and authenticity. Remember people connect with people, not perfection. š¤
