Happy Better Yourself Friday! 🎉 Can you believe it’s already November? We’re officially in the home stretch of the year and for many of you, it’s also the start of your final exams! Before we wrap up 2025, we will be focusing on building and maintaining professional relationships to expand opportunities. Because no matter what stage you’re in, be it studying, job hunting, or just figuring things out, the connections you make can help shape your path in powerful ways.

Here are a few exercises you can do to strengthen your networking practices. You could send a message to someone who inspired or encouraged you this year and thank them for their impact. Secondly, go ahead and comment meaningfully on a post by a classmate, mentor, or company you admire. Lastly, introduce two people who might benefit from knowing each other because networking karma is real! The goal isn’t to “network”, it’s to connect with purpose. Those small, thoughtful gestures can create ripple effects that stretch far beyond what you imagine.

📚 A note for our students writing final exams:

We know this month comes with long nights, extra coffee, and a lot of focus. Remember, you have worked hard to get here, and you can do this. Be gentle with yourself. Take breaks. Step outside for fresh air and remember that our brain needs rest just as much as it needs revision. When things feel heavy, lean on your circle, be it your friends, classmates, mentors. Sometimes a 5-minute chat can recharge your motivation more than another study session.

In closing, remember that, The relationships you nurture today can become the bridges to your next opportunity. So keep learning, keep growing, and don’t be afraid to reach out. Sometimes, the best things in life start with a simple “Hey, how are you?” 👋
