As the year starts to take shape, let us kick off January by focusing on something powerful, self-awareness which later translates into self-determination. Knowing yourself is the first step toward owning your career, studies, and personal growth this year.

You can practice self- awareness by asking yourself these following questions. What are my strengths and values? What motivates me to push forward? How do I want to show up this year? As much as self-awareness includes introspection, it is also a call for clarity for action. The more you understand yourself, the better you can make choices that actually move you forward.

Moreover, you can make use of your answers from the previous questions to conceptualise your thoughts onto paper. You can do this by writing down 3 things that define your values and 1 area you want to grow in this month. Once you have done that, you can then proceed to set a realistic, achievable goal for the first 30 days of 2026. Here’s to a strong, intentional start to 2026, you’ve got this! 💛
