🌊 Feeling Overwhelmed? Here’s How to Stay Grounded
🔋 Burnt Out or Just Overworked? Let’s Recharge

Hey There 👋
Happy Better Yourself Friday! 🎉 We see you, pushing through long study nights, juggling revision with responsibilities, showing up even when you’re running on empty. June is no joke, especially with exams in full swing.
With that being said, this week, we’re focusing on something that hits close to home for so many of us being overwhelmed. You should always keep in mind that it doesn’t mean that you’re weak, distracted, or lazy. It means you’re human. And sometimes, when everything hits at once, the most powerful thing you can do is slow down, regroup, and get grounded again.
Here is how you can get back on your feet. Start off by breaking it down. When your workload feels massive, shrink the mountain. Take that 30-page reading and split it into 10-minute bursts. Focus on one thing, one question, one concept, one flashcard. ✅ Small wins keep the momentum going.
Secondly, ask for help if possible. We’re not meant to do life, or study, alone. Reach out to a friend, a tutor, or a classmate. Even venting for 5 minutes or hearing “I’m in the same boat” can do wonders for your mental state. Lastly, make sure to take intentional breaks. Your brain is not a machine, it needs downtime. Log off. Walk. Sit in the sun. Dance it out in your room. Or just breathe deeply. These moments of pause aren’t a waste of time, they’re fuel. 🔋
Always keep in mind that life isn’t about having it all together, it’s about showing up for yourself when it matters most. You’ve done that by simply being here and trying. That’s brave. That’s powerful. 💖
So without further ado, here’s another installment of Better Yourself Friday
Let's Gerrit!

💡 Great Tips for Mahala
Feeling stressed by school? You’re not alone, but there are simple ways to lighten the load. Start with the basics: sleep well, eat real food, and move your body (even a short walk helps!). Break big tasks into smaller chunks and manage your time so you don’t end up overwhelmed.
Try deep breathing or mindfulness to calm your brain when things feel intense. And most importantly, talk it out. Friends, family, or even a counsellor can help more than you think. 💬🧠✨
